On behalf of the municipality of Olst-Wijhe, Vocare-Ledlight has conducted a pilot with Solar hybrid lighting in 2023. The purpose of this pilot was to find out how much the municipality could save with this compared to standard LED lighting. For this pilot, our 3-cell hybrid fixtures were placed on the Handelsweg in Wijhe, a busy street with stores and parking lots. The Solar hybrid lights replaced the Philips LED fixtures. The results of the pilot project were very positive: in terms of energy consumption, the hybrid lamps save the municipality of Olst-Wijhe an average of 75%. Shoppers and passers-by were also very satisfied. As a result, the municipality of Olst-Wijhe decided to maintain the Vocare Solar hybrid fixtures on Handelsweg and to also equip a large parking lot near the daycare center and high school with these lights.
