Successful pilot with Solar Hybrid Lighting in the Municipality of Olst-Wijhe
In 2023, Vocare-Ledlight carried out a pilot project with solar hybrid lighting on behalf of the municipality of Olst-Wijhe. The aim of this pilot was to determine how much the municipality could save compared to standard LED lighting. For this pilot, our 3‑cell hybrid luminaires were installed on the Handelsweg in Wijhe, a busy street with shops and parking spaces. The solar hybrid lamps replaced the Philips LED fixtures.The results of the pilot project were very positive: in terms of energy consumption, the hybrid lamps provide the municipality of Olst-Wijhe with an average saving of 75%. Shoppers and passers-by were also very satisfied. Based on these results, the municipality decided to keep the Vocare solar hybrid luminaires on the Handelsweg and to equip a large parking area near the daycare centre and secondary school with the same lighting.
